Terms of Service
The RightRun websites, related mobile applications and services (collectively, the “Services”) are made available to you subject to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”), which includes the Acceptable Use Policy, and in accordance with RightRun's Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”). More information about the Services may be found at [insert website here]. The Services are provided to you by RightRun, LLC. and throughout these Terms “RightRun” or “we” refers to the relevant service provider providing the Services to you. You agree to comply with these Terms and any supplemental terms which RightRun makes available to you on the Services, which shall form part of the Terms. RightRun reserves the right to review accounts and user actions on the Services to ensure compliance with our Terms. BY ACCESSING, USING OR UPLOADING OR DOWNLOADING ANY INFORMATION OR MATERIALS TO OR FROM THE SERVICES, OR BY INDICATING YOUR ASSENT TO THESE TERMS BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT, CLICKING “SIGN UP” OR ANY SIMILAR MECHANISM, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES. This agreement was written in English. To the extent a translated version of the Terms conflict with the English version, the English version controls.
If you access or use the Services on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind such entity and its affiliates to these Terms and that it is fully binding on them. In such a case, the term “you” will refer to such an entity and its affiliates. If you do not have authority, you may not access or use the Services. These Terms contain disclaimers of warranties and limitations on liability that may be applicable to you.
Notice Regarding Dispute Resolution: These Terms contain provisions that govern how disputes between you and RightRun are resolved, including an agreement to arbitrate, which will, with limited exception, require you to submit claims you have against us to binding and final arbitration and limit you to claims against RightRun on an individual basis, unless you opt-out in accordance with the instructions below.
Registration and Accounts
The Services are intended solely for persons who are at least 13 years old or such a higher age as required in your country to use the Services. If you are under the legal age to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
If you are a parent or legal guardian of a RightRun user under the legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, you agree to be fully responsible for the acts or omissions of such user, including any breach of these Terms. Notwithstanding, RightRun reserves the right to refuse access to the Services by users under certain ages under the legal age, in our sole discretion.
To use the Services, you must register. In doing so, you agree to: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself (“User Data”) and (b) maintain and promptly update the User Data. You agree that RightRun may use your User Data to provide Services that you access or use and as otherwise set forth in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You also agree to create only one account for your own personal use and not share your account or RightRun subscription with others. You agree that all activities associated with your account on the Services reflect authentic activities undertaken by you. If you provide any User Data that is inaccurate or not current, you have created multiple accounts, or RightRun has reasonable grounds to suspect that such User Data is inaccurate or not current, RightRun has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse current or future use of the Services. In consideration of your use of the Services, you represent that you are not a person barred from receiving services under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password associated with your account and for restricting access to your password, your computer and mobile device while logged into the Services. You accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or from your computer and mobile devices. You agree to immediately notify RightRun of any unauthorized use of your account or password, or any other breach of security, and confirm that you understand all risks of unauthorized access to User Data and any other information or content you provide to RightRun. The use of unique and complex passwords is highly recommended for security reasons.
You may register for or log-in to your account via a third-party network, such as Apple. If you do so, you will authorize RightRun to pre-populate the registration and other relevant information fields of your account and/or to use such third-party credentials to log you into your account, based on those companies’ privacy policies. If you connect your account to a third-party network, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions and policies applicable to such third parties.
By virtue of certain Services connecting to third-party APIs, you hereby agree to be bound by those providers’ terms of service and privacy policies in connection with your use of such Services.
Payments and Fees
Payments
To pay any fee, you must designate and provide information about your preferred payment method (e.g., credit card, online payment service, a third-party platform, like Apple App Store or Google Play, or any other payment method made available by RightRun) (the “Payment Method”). If you provide your payment information, you authorize us and certain third-party service providers, payment card networks and payment processors to receive, store, and encrypt your payment information. You may switch to a different Payment Method or update your information by visiting [link website login page]. If you paid through the Google Play or Apple App Store, you may change your Payment Method through the corresponding store account. No refunds or credits will be provided by RightRun, other than as set forth in these Terms. If your payment provider determines that there are fraudulent charges on your account resulting from use of your Payment Method at the Services, please contact us immediately at customerservice@rightrunapp.com.
Fees
In order to access certain functionality of the Services, you may be required to pay subscription fees. Subscription fees, along with any required taxes, are payable in advance. Changes in rates will take effect at the beginning of the next billing date. You agree to pay the subscription fees, and other charges you incur in connection with your RightRun account, whether on a one-time or subscription basis. RightRun reserves the right to increase subscription fees, any associated taxes, or to institute new fees at any time upon reasonable advance notice.
Auto-Renewal
Subscription fees will be billed automatically at the start of your monthly billing date or annual period, as applicable. These fees will auto-renew until your subscription is downgraded or terminated. Your subscription fee will be the same as your initial charges unless you are otherwise notified in advance. You may cancel your subscription at any time, as described below.
Cancellation
Cancellation of Subscription
If you signed up through the Apple App Store, you may cancel your subscription through the corresponding store. The cancellation of a subscription will go into effect at the end of your current billing cycle. When your subscription ends, your account will remain and become a free subscription. You can renew your subscription at any time without opening a new account, although the subscription fees may have increased. You can delete your account at any time.
Free Trials
Your subscription may start with a free trial. The free trial period for any subscription will last for the period of time specified when you signed up. Free trials may not be combined with certain other offers, unless otherwise specified. If you begin your subscription with a free trial, we will begin billing your Payment Method for subscription fees at the end of the free trial period of your subscription unless you cancel your subscription prior to the end of the free trial period. Your Payment Method will be authorized for up to approximately one month of service as soon as you register for a free trial. In some instances, your available balance or credit limit may be reduced to reflect the authorization; however, no charges will be made against the Payment Method if you cancel prior to the end of your free trial period. You may cancel your subscription at any time by going to your account settings.
Beta Features
RightRun may make certain features available to you as part of a beta release, early access program, or similar opportunity to test or use product functionality ("Beta features"). Beta features may not be supported and may require you to update your version of the Services. Use of Beta features is at your own risk and you understand that they may contain errors, design flaws or other problems. The Your Feedback section of this policy applies to any feedback you provide related to Beta features. Beta features may be changed or deprecated, and we may remove access at any time without notice.
Ownership of and Use of Content
You own, or otherwise have the right to grant the rights and licenses set forth in these Terms, the information, data, text, software, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, posts, tags, or other materials you make available in connection with the Services (“Content”), whether publicly posted, privately transmitted, or submitted through a third-party API. You grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform and display any Content and any name, username or likeness that you post on or in connection with the Services in all media formats and channels now known or later developed without compensation to you. This license ends when you delete your Content or your account.
You agree that RightRun is not responsible for, and does not endorse, Content posted on the Services. If your Content violates these Terms or is otherwise illegal or contrary to applicable law, you may bear legal responsibility for that Content. As between you and RightRun, any Content will be non-confidential and non-proprietary and we will not be liable for any use or disclosure of Content. You acknowledge and agree that your relationship with RightRun is not a confidential, fiduciary, or other type of special relationship, and that your decision to submit any Content does not place RightRun in a position that is any different from the position held by members of the general public, including with regard to your Content. Your Content will not be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of RightRun other than as set forth in our Privacy Policy and your privacy controls, and RightRun will not be liable for any use or disclosure of any Content you provide.
The Services may provide you with the ability to mark certain Content that you submit to the Services as private, public, or available only to select users of the Services. RightRun will maintain the privacy of such Content in accordance with your elections. However, if you do not elect to mark your Content as private or available for a limited group of users, or later change such designation to allow such Content to be made available to anyone, you are responsible for the public nature of the content. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information on how to manage your privacy controls.
You give us permission to use your profile name, profile photo, and information about your activities and actions you have taken, including your use of third-party products, services, or devices, in ads, offers and other commercial contexts on the Services without compensation to you. For example, we may show other users that you use a certain device, product, or service available from a third-party that has partnered with RightRun.
As noted in our Privacy Policy, we may suggest routes, challenges, or other activities on RightRun that may interest you, users you may want to follow, or new features that you may want to try. We also use algorithmic ranking to determine what type of content (such as activity, post, route recommendation) to show in your feed. The main parameters for these recommendations may include your preferred activity type, interaction patterns with app content (e.g., impressions, clicks), uploaded activities (e.g., frequency or duration of runs), app usage (e.g., challenge participation), and basic demographic and location information, where relevant. We may also consider your social network on RightRun (e.g., if someone you follow joined a challenge). For example, we may recommend challenges based on your previous activity history, engagement with similar content, and activity within your network of followed users.
Depending on your settings, RightRun may use algorithmic ranking to determine the order of activities in your feed. You can adjust your display preferences to choose between a "Personalized" feed (prioritizing activities you're most likely to engage with) or "Latest Activities" (in chronological order).
The Services are for your personal and noncommercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell for any commercial purposes any portion of the Services, use of the Services or access to Content.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to create a text hyperlink to the Services for non-commercial use only, provided such link does not portray RightRun or any of its products or services in a false, misleading, derogatory or otherwise defamatory manner, and provided further that the linking site does not contain any pornographic, illegal, offensive, harassing or otherwise objectionable material. You are further granted a right to implement any RSS feeds located on the Services for your personal, non-commercial use, solely as described on the Services. We reserve the right to revoke these licenses generally, or your right to use specific links or RSS feeds, at any time, with or without cause.
You understand that use of certain features of the Services may require you to purchase third party equipment or materials (e.g., GPS systems). While RightRun may recommend the equipment or materials of certain third party suppliers, RightRun shall have no responsibility for your acquisition or use of any third party equipment or materials and does not guarantee that third party equipment or materials will function with the Services or will be error-free.
You understand that you are responsible for any charges associated with sending communications via your device. You hereby acknowledge that you have the right to communicate with your contacts via the Services.
You represent and warrant that: (i) you are authorized to create your account, whether individually or on behalf of an organization; (ii) you own the Content posted by you on or through the Services or otherwise have the right to grant the rights and licenses set forth in these Terms; (iii) the posting and use of your Content on or through the Services does not and will not violate, misappropriate or infringe on the rights of any third party, including, without limitation, privacy and data protection rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark and/or other intellectual property rights; and (iv) you agree to pay for all royalties, fees, and any other monies owed by reason of Content you post on or through the Services.
Content and Conduct Restrictions
RightRun’s Acceptable Use Policy describes restrictions on content and conduct and is incorporated by reference into these Terms. You agree to comply with this policy.
You understand that you, and not RightRun, are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available via the Services. RightRun may, in accordance with applicable law, screen, monitor, hide, restrict, refuse or remove any Content that violates the Terms or is otherwise objectionable. Please note, this does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content.
You understand that by using the Services, you may be exposed to Content that is offensive, indecent, objectionable or illegal. You agree to bear all risks associated with the use of any Content available in connection with the Services, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of such Content.
If you believe Content posted to the Services violates our standards or these Terms, please report it to us. For more information on the action we may take against RightRun accounts that are found to be in violation of these Terms and our standards, and what to do if you believe action has been taken in error, please see rightrun.ai.
Interactions with RightRun Users
The Services serve as a venue to connect users of RightRun in a virtual environment. As a neutral facilitator, RightRun is not directly involved in interactions between users. Accordingly, we do not control the truth, accuracy, quality, legality, or safety of postings made by users. We also do not confirm the identity, qualifications, background, or abilities of users.
You should exercise common sense and good judgment when interacting with others via the Services.
If you choose to use our features to invite contacts, share your activity data, or communicate with others, RightRun may request contact information. By providing this, you confirm that you have permission to do so and authorize RightRun to use such information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Third Parties
Third-party products and services offered on the Services are provided directly by those third parties. When you interact with or purchase such offerings, you are contracting directly with the third party, not with RightRun.
RightRun is not responsible for transactions, terms, or outcomes resulting from your engagement with third-party services, even if accessed through our platform.
YOU AGREE THAT RightRun SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM YOUR DEALINGS WITH THIRD PARTIES.
We may provide links to other websites or resources. RightRun does not control, endorse, or take responsibility for content, products, services, or materials available on those sites.
The term RightRun, the RightRun logo, the look and feel of the Services, and all other RightRun logos and product and service names are the exclusive trademarks of, and are owned by, RightRun, LLC., and you may not use or display such trademarks in any manner without RightRun’s prior written permission. Any third-party trademarks, service marks, product names, company names, or logos displayed on the Services are the property of their respective owners. Reference to any products, services, processes or other information by name, trademark, manufacturer, supplier or otherwise does not constitute or imply endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation by RightRun.
RightRun reserves all rights not expressly granted hereunder.
Claims of Infringement
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) provides recourse for copyright owners who believe that material appearing on the internet infringes their rights under U.S. copyright law. RightRun also reviews claims of trademark infringement. If you believe in good faith that materials hosted by RightRun infringe your copyright or trademark rights, you (or your agent) may send us a notice requesting that the material be removed, or access to it blocked. The notice must include the following information: (a) a physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed; (b) identification of the copyrighted work or trademark claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple copyrighted works or trademarks located on the Services are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works); (c) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to allow RightRun to locate the material on the Services; (d) the name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address (if available) of the complaining party; (e) a statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright or trademark owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. Please be advised that RightRun will not respond to complaints that do not meet these requirements. We may share your information with third parties when we forward DMCA compliant notifications, which will be forwarded as submitted to us without any deletions. If RightRun determines that the materials alleged to infringe your copyright or trademark rights do not require removal, RightRun will remove those materials only pursuant to a court order declaring the content or use of the materials unlawful.
If you believe in good faith that a notice of copyright infringement has been wrongly filed against you, the DMCA permits you to send us a counter-notice. Counter-notices must include the following information: (a) your name, address, and telephone number; (b) the source of the content that was removed; (c) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed in error; (d) a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located; or, if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which RightRun may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original complaint; and (e) a physical or electronic signature (for example, typing your full name).
Notices and counter-notices with respect to the Services must meet the then-current statutory requirements imposed by the DMCA (see https://copyright.gov/title17/92appb.html) and should be sent to the agent identified below. We suggest that you consult your legal advisor before filing a notice or counter-notice. Also, be aware that there may be penalties for false claims under the DMCA.

Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold RightRun and its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, agents, representatives, employees, partners and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of Content you submit, post, transmit or otherwise seek to make available through the Services, your use of the Services, your athletic activities which generate the Content you post or seek to post on the Services (including, but not limited to, athletic activities in connection with any contests, races, group runs, or other events which RightRun sponsors, organizes, participates in, or whose Services are used in connection with), your connection to the Services, your violation of the Terms, your violation of any data protection or privacy laws, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity. Your rights with respect to RightRun are not modified by the foregoing indemnification if the laws of your country of residence, applicable as a result of your use of our Services, do not permit it.
Dispute Resolution
The following provisions regarding arbitration, class-action waiver, opt-out rights, and time limitations apply to all users of the Services. The Services are intended for use only within the United States and are not offered to users residing outside the U.S.
Arbitration
The parties shall use their best efforts to settle any dispute, claim, question, or disagreement directly through good-faith negotiations, which shall be a precondition to either party initiating a lawsuit or arbitration. Except for disputes relating to the RightRun’s intellectual property (such as trademarks, trade dress, domain names, trade secrets, copyrights, and patents) or if you opt out of this agreement to arbitrate, all claims arising out of or relating to this Agreement and your use of the Services shall be finally settled by binding arbitration administered by JAMS in accordance with its provisions and procedures for consumer-related disputes, excluding any rules or procedures governing or permitting class actions. The arbitrator, and not any court or agency, shall have exclusive authority to resolve all disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement, including, but not limited to, any claim that all or any part of this Agreement is void or voidable. The arbitrator shall be empowered to grant whatever relief would be available in a court; provided, however, that the arbitrator will not have authority to award damages, remedies, or awards that conflict with this Agreement. The arbitrator’s award shall be binding on the parties and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. To the extent the filing fee for the arbitration exceeds the cost of filing a lawsuit, RightRun will pay the additional cost. You and RightRun hereby expressly waive trial by jury. You also agree not to participate in claims brought in a private attorney general or representative capacity, or consolidated claims involving another person’s account, if RightRun is a party to the proceeding. This dispute resolution provision will be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
The parties understand that, absent this mandatory provision, they would have the right to sue in court and have a jury trial. They further understand that, in some instances, the costs of arbitration could exceed the costs of litigation and that the right to discovery may be more limited in arbitration than in court.
Class-Action Waiver
The parties further agree that any arbitration shall be conducted in their individual capacities only, and not as a class action or other representative action. If any court or arbitrator determines that the class-action waiver set forth in this section is void or unenforceable for any reason, or that an arbitration can proceed on a class basis, then the arbitration provision set forth above shall be deemed null and void in its entirety and the parties shall be deemed to have not agreed to arbitrate disputes.
Exception—Litigation of Small Claims Court Claims
Notwithstanding the parties’ decision to resolve all disputes through arbitration, either party may also seek relief in a small claims court for disputes or claims within the scope of that court’s jurisdiction.
Thirty-Day Right to Opt Out
You have the right to opt out and not be bound by the arbitration- and class-action-waiver provisions set forth in this section by sending written notice of your decision to opt out The notice must be sent within 30 days of registering to use the Services; otherwise, you shall be bound to arbitrate disputes in accordance with these Terms. If you opt out of these arbitration provisions, RightRun also will not be bound by them. In addition, if you elect to opt out of these arbitration provisions, RightRun may terminate your use of the Services.
Time Limitation on Claims
You agree that any claim you may have arising out of or related to your relationship with RightRun and these Terms must be filed within one year after such claim arose; otherwise, your claim is permanently barred.
Choice of Law and Forum
Any action related to these Terms, the Content, the Services, or your relationship with RightRun shall be governed by, and construed and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Subject to the section entitled “Dispute Resolution,” the parties irrevocably agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in or embracing Waltham, Massachusetts. Each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection to the venue or forum.
If any party brings legal action against another party to enforce these Terms, the prevailing party shall be entitled to recover reasonable attorneys’ fees, court costs, and other expenses in addition to any other relief granted.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to use of the Services or these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arises or be forever barred.
This section applies solely to users located within the United States.
Operation of the Services
The Services are provided by RightRun, LLC. from its offices within the United States of America.
RightRun, LLC18 Walnut StAuburn, MA 01501 USA
RightRun makes no representation that the Content or the Services are appropriate or available for use in other locations. Access to or use of the Content or the Services from territories where such access or use is illegal is prohibited.
Termination
You agree that RightRun may, under certain serious circumstances and without prior notice, immediately suspend or terminate your account and/or access to the Services. Cause for such suspension or termination shall include, but not be limited to, (a) breaches or violations of the Terms or other incorporated agreements, policies or guidelines, (b) requests by law enforcement or other government agencies, (c) a request by you (self-initiated account deletions), (d) discontinuance or material modification to the Services (or any portion thereof), (e) unexpected technical or security issues or problems, (f) extended periods of inactivity, and/or (g) nonpayment of any fees owed by you in connection with the Services. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, joint controllership, employment or agency relationship exists between you and RightRun as a result of the Terms or your use of the Services. The Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and RightRun with respect to your use of the Services. The failure of RightRun to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of the Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the court should endeavor to give effect to the parties’ intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of the Terms remain in full force and effect. You may not assign, delegate or otherwise transfer your account or your obligations under these Terms without the prior written consent of RightRun. A printed version of the Terms and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to the Terms to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form. Section titles and headings in the Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

Certain provisions of the Terms may be supplemented or superseded by expressly designated legal notices or terms located on particular pages on the Services. RightRun reserves the right to update the Terms at any time and for any reason in its sole discretion. RightRun will notify you in advance of any material changes to the Terms. By continuing to access or use the Services after we have provided you with notice of a modification, you are agreeing to be bound by the modified Terms. For example, the mobile application may download and install upgrades, updates and additional features in order to improve, enhance, and further develop the Services. RightRun reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Services or any portion thereof with or without notice. You agree that RightRun shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Services.

Reporting content
Learn how to report content on RightRun that you believe violates the law or RightRun’s policies.
You can report content you believe violates the law or RightRun’s Community Standards, this Acceptable Use Policy or any other part of RightRun’s Terms of Service:
-
In the product, on our website, and RightRun mobile applications, users can click the report option next to the content or user account. From there, users will be able to access a reporting flow to provide reviewers with more context about the nature of their report.
-
Contact us and submit a report here: Report an Issue.
Content Review and Enforcement
Learn how we approach content review and enforcement.
We take user reports seriously and take appropriate actions based on our policies, taking context into account where relevant, and the results of our investigation.
-
Context includes potential exposure to other users, for example, where content is posted on public surfaces on RightRun. We expect athletes to be respectful of the community and others when posting content.
-
We may proactively review content to determine whether it violates our policies. In some cases, we may use automated detection to surface content for human review, or in limited cases, to block content. In all cases, a human reviews any appeals.
If we determine that content violates our Terms of Service, including this Acceptable Use Policy, or our Community Standards, we may take action such
-
as to remove content, to revoke or limit access to features, and/or to suspend or block account access.
Appeals
Learn how we handle appeals against our content review and enforcement decisions.
When we remove content, suspend an account, restrict access to features, or take any other action against a user’s content or account, or when we do not have sufficient information to take action on a user report, we notify the account owner using the email address on file. These notices offer the opportunity for users to appeal these decisions by getting in touch with human reviewers who can read and evaluate their appeals.
-
If the user wishes to appeal an enforcement decision against their content or account or a decision not to act on their report, they can contact us via admin@rightrunapp.com or by replying directly to the email notification of the decision, for up to six months after the date of the decision, to provide information explaining why they believe the decision was taken in error.
-
When submitting an appeal, users should tell us the reason they are appealing the decision, including any context or background information that could help us understand their case. They may submit screenshots or any additional content they believe will be helpful to our reviewers to consider.
-
Once an appeal is received, a human will review the original decision against our policies and guidelines to determine whether the determination of a violation and/or the enforcement action taken were warranted. Such decisions typically include granting the appeal, requesting more information, or denying the appeal.
-
We will communicate our decision by responding to the email we received from the appealing user.

RightRun collects information about you, including information that directly or indirectly identifies you, if you or other RightRun users choose to share it with RightRun. The sources from which we collect this personal information fall into three categories: information you provide, information we collect automatically, and information we collect from other sources. For example, based on how you interact with RightRun and the Services, we may collect information when you track, complete, or upload activities using the Services. RightRun also collects information about how you use the Services. In addition, you may choose to share information about yourself, your friends, and your activities with RightRun.

We collect and process location information when you sign up for and use the Services. We do not track your device location while you are not using the Services. In order for most of our core features (e.g., GPS activity tracking and route generation) to function, you must grant us permissions in your device’s privacy controls to track your device location while you use the Services.
If you would like to stop the device location tracking, you may do so at any time by adjusting your device settings.

We may also match your GPS activities to specific segments or routes to analyze your efforts against those of other users and to establish leaderboards.

-
Manage your training. For example, to set goals and use your training dashboard.
-

-

We use the information we collect and receive to customize your experience. For example, we may suggest segments, routes, challenges, or clubs on RightRun that may interest you, users that you may want to follow, or new features that you may want to try.
To provide you with targeted commercial content
We use the information we collect and receive to serve you with relevant promotions, subject to your notification and email preferences. We use automated tools to assist us in protecting and safeguarding you and other users and to keep the Service secure, for example to detect misuse and bad actors. RightRun reserves the right to review accounts and user actions on the Services to ensure compliance with our Terms. You can learn more about how to report content that violates our terms and standards here.
We also use device information and information contained in log files, including IP address, to maintain the security and integrity of our Services.

To assist you with a support request
We use the information we collect and receive to provide support in response to your requests and comments. Depending on your request, this may require us to access your account, for example, to troubleshoot or replicate a reported issue.
To improve our Services
We use the information we collect and receive, including feedback you provide, to conduct research, and to analyze, develop, troubleshoot, increase functionality, and otherwise improve the Services. To do this, RightRun may use third-party analytics
providers to gain insights into how our Services are used, using aggregated data, and to help us improve the Services.

If you are under 13 years of age, do not use the Services.
How We Protect Information
RightRun implements measures to ensure that your information is treated securely and consistently with the terms in this Privacy Policy. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of your information and designed to protect against unauthorized use, disclosure, or access to personal information.
In addition, you can take steps to protect your account and information such as creating a unique password for RightRun that is not easily guessed and that you don't use anywhere else, not sharing your password with others, and promptly reporting suspicious activity or unauthorized account access.
Your Legal Rights & How to Exercise your Legal Rights
Privacy laws provide certain rights to users in certain jurisdictions. Below are rights that may be available to you under applicable laws.
Access and Portability
You have the right to know, and request access to, the personal information we collect, use, share, or otherwise process about you. You can access much of your information by logging into your account. If you require additional access, please contact us at admin@rightrunapp.com.
Rights to Rectify, Restrict, and Delete
You have the right to rectify, restrict, or delete personal information, including by requesting that we correct (rectify) where inaccurate, restrict, or delete your personal information on your behalf. Note that these requests are subject to certain limitations, for example, we may retain personal information as permitted by law, such as for tax or other record keeping purposes, to process transactions and facilitate customer requests, and for certain other business purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
You can rectify, restrict, or delete much of your information by logging into your account, such as to edit your profile, delete content like photos or videos you have posted, remove individual activities from view, delete individual activities, or delete your account. You may correct, amend or update profile or account information at any time by adjusting that information in your account settings. If you need further assistance please contact RightRun at admin@rightrunapp.com.
To delete your account, click here. See section above on Deleting Information and Accounts for more information about this process. If you need assistance, please contact us at admin@rightrunapp.com. After we receive and validate your deletion request, we will delete your personal information, as well as direct our service providers to delete your personal information, unless an exception applies.
Right to Complain
You may raise a concern about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have) by contacting us through our Report an Issue Form. Regarding the right to complain, you may also report concerns to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Notice for Residents of Certain U.S. States
If you reside in certain U.S. states—such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Montana (as of October 1, 2024), Oregon, Texas, Utah, or Virginia—you may have additional rights under your state's consumer privacy laws (“U.S. State Privacy Laws”) regarding how your personal information is collected and used in connection with the RightRun app.
These rights may include:
-
Right to Access: You can request details about the personal information RightRun has collected about you—such as your name, email, fitness activity data, run history, and location data—as well as how we use it, who we may have shared it with (e.g., for analytics), and why.
-
Right to Delete: You can request that we delete your personal information, including your running logs, route history, or fitness tracking data, unless we need to retain it for legal, security, or operational reasons (like preventing fraud or maintaining service reliability).
-
Right to Correct: If any of the information you’ve shared with us (such as age, weight, or profile details) is inaccurate, you can request corrections.
-
Right to Opt-Out: You may have the right to opt out of:
-
The sale of your personal data (RightRun does not sell personal data, but if that changes, you’ll be notified).
-
The use of your information for targeted advertising based on your activity or location.
-
-
Right to Data Portability: You can request a copy of your personal information in a portable format—such as your running history, fitness progress, or leaderboard activity—so you can transfer it to another service.
-
Right to Non-Discrimination: Exercising your privacy rights won’t affect your access to the core features of RightRun. We won’t deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you made a privacy request.
Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a request related to your personal information. For information on how to submit a request or appeal a decision, please see our [Privacy Policy] or contact us at [your support email or link].
Access and Portability
Under U.S. State Privacy Laws, you have the right to make a free request regarding your right to know about the personal information we collect, use, and share two times in any 12-month period. Provided we can validate your request, we will make the disclosure no later than 45 days after receiving your request, unless we request an extension. In the event that we reasonably need a 45-day extension, we will notify you of the extension within the initial 45-day period.
Right to non-discrimination
You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercise of your privacy rights under State Privacy Laws. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your U.S. State Privacy Law rights.
Right to opt out of personal information sales or shares
We do not sell your personal information for monetary value. However, under certain privacy laws, some non-monetary sharing of personal information with third parties – for example to provide you with targeted advertising for RightRun on other platforms – may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information. To the extent such laws may consider this a sale or share of personal information, RightRun does not “sell” or “share” your personal information for analytics or to serve you with targeted advertising on other platforms unless you accept non-essential cookies using our cookie banner.
You have the right to direct us to not “sell” or “share” your personal information. If you opted into receiving our targeted advertising using our cookie banner, you may opt out of targeted advertising by (1) clicking the “Do Not Share My Personal Information” link in the footer below and following the instructions; (2) clicking in our app on the “Personal Information Sharing” link in your Privacy Controls and following the instructions; or (3) setting your cookie preferences to deny non-essential cookies. More information on your opt out options is provided here.
Once you make an opt-out request, we will wait at least 12 months before asking you if you want to re-opt into “sales” or “shares” of your personal information.
Right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive information
You have the right to direct us to only use your sensitive information, such as precise geolocation data or health data, for limited purposes, such as providing you with the services you requested. RightRun does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than the Permitted Sensitive Personal Information Purposes, as defined under California law.
Please note, according to U.S. State Privacy Laws, personal information does not generally include:
-
Publicly available information from government records.
-
De-identified or aggregated consumer information.
Additional Disclosures for California Residents
-
Financial Incentives. We do not generally provide a loyalty program or other financial incentive in return for the collection or use of personal information. On some occasions we may engage in a limited-time marketing event, promotional offer or discount on fees that includes a registration or other collection of personal information, and we will disclose the benefits and terms of that promotion at the time of collection.
-
Privacy rights requests for non-customers. California privacy rights apply to all individuals (not just registered users), including job applicants, current and former employees, contractors and business partners. Job applicants may provide contact information and resume-related information (e.g., past education and experience) as well as complete relevant background checks. Employees receive internal privacy disclosure relevant to them. Contractors and business partners provide business contact information and payment-related information as necessary to facilitate a prospective or actual business relation. Due to the nature of these relationships, the precise collection and use of personal information can vary. All such individuals who are California residents can request additional information about our privacy practices with respect to their information, as well as make the access, deletion, correction and opt-out requests described above, by contacting us as directed above. Please provide sufficient information that we can identify you, and be aware that we may employ a more extensive authentication process to verify your identity before responding to your request.
-
Do Not Track. Do Not Track (DNT) is a privacy preference you can set in most browsers but there is no standard interpretation or practice for responding to DNT signals (see https://allaboutdnt.com/ for more information), and we therefore handle all user information consistent with our privacy policy.
-
Direct Marketing. We do not share personal information such as your contact information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
Additional Disclosures for Nevada residents
We do not “sell” personal information as defined by Nevada law (Nevada Revised Statutes, Chapter 603A, Section 1.6). You can submit a request to us regarding the sale of such information via the following contact information: admin@rightrunapp.com.
Retention of Information
We retain information as long as it is necessary to provide the Services subject to our legal obligations to further retain such information. Information associated with your account will generally be kept until it is no longer necessary to provide the Services or until your account is deleted or becomes inactive. In making these determinations, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the purposes for which the personal information is processed, whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and applicable legal requirements.
In addition, you can delete some items of information (e.g., profile information) and you can remove individual activities from view on the Services without deleting your account. For example, if you withdraw your consent to RightRun processing your health-related information, RightRun will delete all health-related information from any future activities you upload.
Following your deletion of your account, it may take up to 45 days to fully delete your personal information and system logs from our systems. Additionally, we may retain information to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect fees, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce the Terms of Service and take other actions permitted by law. The information we retain will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Personal information that is no longer necessary or relevant to provide the Services may be de-identified and combined with other non-personal data to generate aggregated insights. For example, we may retain generalized, non-identifiable location data or usage trends to help improve and develop features within the Services. Any such information will be stripped of names and other personal identifiers before being used.
Privacy Policy Updates
RightRun reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make changes to this privacy statement we will post the revised privacy statement and its effective date on this website. If we make changes we deem to be material, we will provide prominent, advance notice. If you object to any changes to this Privacy Policy, you should stop using the Services and delete your account.

2. Prioritize Safety
-
Choose and share routes responsibly. Do not suggest or use routes that lead through unsafe, private, or restricted areas.
-
Respect real-world conditions—our route suggestions are based on available data but may not be able to account for construction zones, weather hazards, or other temporary conditions at times.
-
If you see something unsafe or inaccurate, report it through the in-app safety tools.
3. Use the App As Intended
-
RightRun is not a social feed. It’s built to support private, performance-focused running.

4. Be a Good Digital Citizen
-
No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or abuse of any kind will be tolerated through our messaging system or any other avenue of communication.
-
Respect fellow runners’ identities, fitness levels, and goals. Everyone’s journey is different.

Help us keep the app inclusive—report any behavior that violates these standards.
5. Protect Your Own Privacy
-
Be mindful of the information you choose to share, even with approved friends.

Review your privacy settings regularly to stay in control of your data.
-
If you stop running with someone or no longer feel comfortable sharing your location, you can remove them from your friends list at any time.

What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small data file stored in your browser or device that allows us to remember your activity or preferences over time. Cookies help RightRun provide a customized experience by, for example, remembering your preferred running routes or device settings.
We use both first-party cookies (set by RightRun) and third-party cookies (e.g., from advertisers and analytics providers like Google and Meta). We also use similar technologies like local storage, mobile SDKs, and web pixels—collectively referred to as “cookies” in this policy.
This Cookie Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.
How We Use Cookies
1. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for RightRun to function. Without them, you wouldn’t be able to log in, save routes, or use key features.
Examples include:
-
Keeping you logged in
-
Securing user sessions
-
Preventing unauthorized access
These cookies cannot be turned off.
2. Functional Cookies
Functional cookies enhance your experience. They allow the app to remember your settings (like map preferences) and improve usability.
3. Performance Cookies
We use Performance Cookies to understand how users interact with the app. This data helps us:
-
Track feature usage
-
Improve performance
-
Fix bugs
-
Conduct business analytics
4. Targeting & Advertising Cookies
RightRun uses Targeting Cookies to:
-
Serve you personalized and location-based ads
-
Track your interactions with ads
-
Share information with advertisers for retargeting and performance tracking
We also sell anonymized and/or aggregated user data collected through these cookies to third-party advertisers and partners. This helps us fund the app and keep certain features free.
Managing and Refusing the Use of Cookies
When you first use RightRun, you’ll see a cookie consent banner. You can accept or deny the use of Non-Essential Cookies. You can update your preferences at any time in the app's cookie settings menu.
Mobile users can also limit ad tracking through:
-
iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking > Allow Apps to Request to Track

Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
Please note: turning off certain cookies may limit the functionality of the app, including your ability to receive personalized content and route recommendations.
Do Not Track (DNT)
RightRun does not currently respond to DNT signals due to a lack of standardization in how these requests are interpreted. We will reassess this if industry standards are established.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We’ll notify you in advance of any material changes, either in-app or via email.
